Description
Concord Engineering Group is looking for Mechanical / Plumbing and Fire Protection Associate Engineer for our Voorhees office. The Associate Engineer is an entry level position where the engineer will be in a learning and support role in coordination with the Project Engineer in designing mechanical / HVAC / plumbing / fire protection systems for various clients in the various markets within their design team. Coordinate and work with the design team within your discipline and work with the client / PM / Project Engineer to execute project objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
The responsibilities of this position include :
- Design energy efficient HVAC system and mechanical systems per client requirements.
- Learn the craft of being a design engineer from more experienced engineers and designers.
- Conduct load calculations analysis and energy modeling using programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR and / or Carrier HAP.
- Review projects regularly to ensure departmental standards and requirements are consistent with client requirements and the project budget.
- Perform design, layout, and checking of mechanical and HVAC drawings and ensure the technical correctness of the drawings by using the applicable job, federal, state and local standards and codes.
- Perform site surveys, energy audits, attend project meetings and provide field construction support, as required.
