What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Coordinator/Receptionist position at Concord Family Dentistry?
We are looking for a Front office coordinator/receptionist to join our team on a daily basis (Mon- Thursday 8AM - 5 pm) and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a front desk person , you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your duties would include welcoming guests and greeting patients who visit our office. You will coordinate front-desk activities, including correspondence with patients and answering phone calls. To be successful as a receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. We are looking for an up-beat personality to add to our staff.
Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, a receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, transcribing and faxing
- Process patient payments
Skills/Experience
- 1 years work experience as a dental receptionist, dental front office representative or similar role
- At least 2 references
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Excel and Word)
- Experience with Dental insurance .
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines, printers and scanners)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
- High school degree
- CPR certification (done in-house at our office)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
