This position involves the inspection and evaluation of auto damages. The purpose of this position is to provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.

Job Description
This position involves the inspection and evaluation of auto damages. The purpose of this position is to provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.
Responsibilities
- Inspect autos, photograph damages, and write appraisals as assigned
- Review estimates and write desk reviews as assigned
- Handle supplements for hidden damage and/or parts price increases
- Provide an estimated salvage value on vehicles determined as a Total Loss
- Assist Adjusters with problematic physical damage claims
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience preferred
- Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Damage Appraiser license required
- Ability to meet continuing education requirements for licensing purposes
- Possess and maintain of valid driver’s license
- Pass background checks conducted by and to employer’s satisfaction
- Working knowledge of auto body repairs and auto mechanics
- I-CAR or ASE Certification is a plus
- Familiarity with CCC One estimating system
- Excellent understanding and skill level of claim handling and customer service
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills via in person, on the phone, and in electronic interactions
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Proficient in PC Windows environment
- Ability to use various software and technology including - but not limited to - the automated claims management system, digital camera, phone/voicemail call processing.
- Utilize resources such as crash books, NADA guides, etc.
