Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for various events, ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in the development of new menu items that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or fine dining establishment is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus, particularly in relation to special dietary needs.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in menu planning and execution for large-scale events is highly desirable.
- A background in culinary arts or related field is beneficial but not mandatory; passion for cooking is essential.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week- AM, MID, & PM shifts
