SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safeguarding of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets. Answer house calls, assist guests, and employees with respect to safety, security and hotel operations. Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons. Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.
Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors, and employees, documenting all contacts.
Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee and guest binder interaction.
Assist supervisor in checking alarm systems and safety and fire equipment systems; closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, and delivery areas.
Carry out any reasonable request by management that is capable of being performed. - Supervise and direct the activities of loss prevention officers, and ensure they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance and provide training and feedback.
- Manage schedules, including shift assignments and coverage.
- Response promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following established policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety and security to all personnel and property.
- Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, life safety inspections and provide documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to related loss prevention activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on security incidents, activities and performance.
- Train and development of other loss prevention personnel.
- Creating, developing and implementing security plans and procedures.
