Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to uphold safety standards and ensure a clean and functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems within the facility.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to understand equipment specifications.
• Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or fabrication projects.
• Use an Ohmmeter and other electrical testing tools to diagnose electrical issues.
• Carry out facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general repairs.
• Fabricate parts or components as necessary to support maintenance operations.
• Execute residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic standards within the facility.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proficiency in using CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Ability to read and understand schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Welding skills are highly desirable for fabrication tasks.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques using tools like an Ohmmeter.
• Experience in facilities maintenance across various systems including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work.
• Fabrication skills for creating or repairing components as needed.
• Competence in residential painting techniques for upkeep of facility aesthetics.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in maintaining equipment functionality.
