Description Night Auditor Responsibilities
Conduct Nightly Financial Audits :
Balance daily financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments.
Generate accurate financial reports, ensuring all revenues are accounted for.
Handle Guest Services :
Assist guests with late check-ins, early check-outs, and special requests.
Address and resolve guest inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure Property Safety and Security :
Monitor the premises to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms or security breaches, according to established procedures.
Complete Front Desk Operations :
Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately in the property management system (ONQ).
Prepare and organize front desk tasks for the following day.
Perform System Rollovers :
Run the night audit process in the ONQ to close the business day and transition to the next.
Verify that all systems, reports, and processes are functioning correctly after the rollover.
Maintain Clean and Organized Workspaces :
Ensure the front desk and lobby areas are tidy and presentable.
Restock supplies and materials needed for guest services.
Communicate Effectively :
Record and pass on detailed shift notes for management and morning staff.
Report maintenance issues, guest complaints, and unusual activities to the appropriate department.
Support Hotel Operations :
Assist other departments if needed, such as delivering items to guest rooms.
Follow hotel policies and procedures to maintain high service standards.
Stay Professional and Alert :
Maintain a calm, composed demeanor during quiet or busy periods.
Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
