engineering support for customer rig / fleet operations, modification
- Design and model power distribution systems of protection system
- Design engine generator controls for diesel power generation plant, including active and reactive power load sharing
- Design and models drilling and marine process control systems, network architecture
- Perform electrical design reviews of major systems (power, control, monitoring, and communication) and equipment, considering technical boilerplate validation attributes
- Design of marine systems and monitoring, including F&G, ESD, internal communication, marine radio communication, CCTV, pin-load monitoring / rack phase differential
- Ensures design compliance, industry standard (API / IADC), standard (IEEE / IEC)
- Develops test procedures for rig electrical power and control (drilling and marine systems) modifications, with rig- and system-specific configuration
- Perform power system analyses
