As VP, Marketing, you will lead and develop the Rounder Marketing Team while providing strategic oversight for the creation and execution of compelling marketing campaigns that define our artists' positioning and amplify their stories in the marketplace. Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
- Lead the marketing team, establishing and managing workflow of Rounder project managers with a concentration on consumer-driven marketing.
- Oversee staff development including hiring, training, promotions, and performance management Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for album releases, focusing on consumer-driven approaches to drive revenue and increase artist exposure
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and opportunities to improve workflow and market advantage
- Manage M&P budgets and oversee advertising campaigns in collaboration with media buying and research departments
- Direct domestic and international marketing strategies and provide necessary tools for global territories
- Partner with artists, managers, and internal teams to develop and evolve artist brands
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artists and management teams, understanding their processes and goals
- Coordinate artist appearances and special events, ensuring both artist and label needs are met
- Develop bonus content and promotional materials in collaboration with artists
- Collaborate with Concord and Rounder staff to support overall label vision
- Oversee creative processes in conjunction with creative department
- Generate and manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery across all departments
- Analyze campaign performance, market conditions, and artist history to inform marketing strategies
- Monitor and report on marketing effectiveness, identifying and communicating key opportunities to internal and external teams
- Regular travel for internal and external business meetings
- Maintain comprehensive communication to ensure project progression while preserving artist message and brand integrity
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration or other relevant discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 12 years’ experience in a marketing role, with significant experience at a record label
- Project Management experience at a previous music label
- Proven experience with managing and developing talent
- Great organization and time management skills
- An ability to successfully execute campaigns with urgency
- Experience working as a liaison between teams
- You thrive in high pressure situations
- A record of efficiently managing a high number of projects at once
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
