We are looking for a Data Architect with Data Vault experience to join our expanding Data Architecture practice. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of data management projects, and contribute to practice growth by providing technical. You are expected to be a skilled, hands-on practitioner in delivering data modernization projects.

What you’ll be doing

Applies industry leading Data Vault 2.0 data modeling principles, standards, guidelines and concepts in a Snowflake environment.
Produces conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet business requirements.
Create dimensional models geared towards self-service business consumption.
Works closely with data owners, stewards, and SMEs to understand business data and reporting requirements and terminology.
Works closely with technical resources to understand architecture principles, data domains, and underlying data sources.
Captures data mapping and transformation rules needed to move data from existing sources to future targets.
Uses data profiling and / or additional research to understand source data to mitigate data quality concerns.
Oversees implementation of data pipelines to migrate data as needed and validate / document success.

What experience would we like to see?

5 years of expertise in data management, including 3 years as a Data Architect, delivering innovative solutions and driving transformative initiatives.

Proven track record of delivering data products using a Data Vault 2.0 methodology in a Snowflake architecture.

Experience in developing detailed data models and ERDs including conceptual, logical and physical data models enabling robust data structuring and optimization using Data Vault 2.0 techniques.

Skilled in leveraging industry-standard tools such as ER / Studio and Vaultspeed for designing scalable data models.

Expertise in SQL and Python, with proven capabilities in data ingestion, querying, extraction, and transformation.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake tasks, streams and stored procedures that are used to architect and implement high-performance solutions.

Solid understanding of modern data and integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architectures, streaming, and ELT / ETL workflows.

Ability to problem-solve in dynamic, evolving environments and provide consultative insights during high-pressure conversations.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage technical and business-oriented audiences effectively.

Competence in prioritizing and managing multiple competing responsibilities while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Additional information

Employment type : Long-term full-time role.

Location : Open to remote in the US. Prefer candidates located in Minneapolis or Kansas City. Occasionally visiting the offices at Minneapolis, Kansas City or clients' locations might be required.

Requirements : must be authorized to work legally in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Consideration will be given to qualified candidates with varying levels of experience, with compensation commensurate with experience.
