We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time Regional Director-Sales for our West Region. We are looking for an innovative leader to implement the execution of the sales strategy for their assigned geography across all markets that Concordance serves. The RD combines strategic thinking with relentless ambition and energy, which will enable the company to reach targets, goals, and attain objectives. The role includes managing the sales team in their region in a way that results in the enhancement of existing business, new business opportunities and the alignment of overall profitability with corporate objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Set and align regional multi-market strategy to company goals focusing on growth and profitability.
- Collaborates with members of sales leadership, senior management and cross-functionally regarding the business funnel, competitive activity, emerging trends in the accounts and best practices as determined while working with their team members.
- Lead and develop team by coaching, training, and providing feedback, to promote a culture of accountability professional development, high-performance and ethical behavior.
- Inspires and motivates team to define and execute strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing leadership talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, diverse, and agile culture.
- Cultivate and leverage relationships with customers and suppliers to enhance strategic partnerships and company profitability.
- Create efficiencies and opportunities within accounts that add value and profitability.
- Network as a means to expand business opportunities.
- Negotiate and define contract & terms and conditions.
- Create efficiencies and opportunities within accounts that add value and profitability.
- Provides support to team members within the QBR process.
- Utilize metrics and analytics to identify new market opportunities in acute and post-acute sales.
- Prospect within Region for growth and penetration (collaborates with Management to determine target list).
- Reports regional and team performance to senior leadership.
- Creates an environment and expectation for continued professional development for self and team.
- Travel required up to 60%, depending upon region.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales or related field, with at least five years of management experience.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Teams.
- Must possess or develop in-depth understanding and knowledge of all healthcare markets that Concordance serves.
- Proven knowledge of industry’s products and services; exhibits awareness of best sales practices and methods.
- Thorough understanding and experience with GPOs, IDNs, etc.
- Strong computer/technology skill set with Microsoft Office Suite and utilization of ERP system. Experience with CRM preferred.
- Strategic leader with demonstrated experience in building high performing teams.
- Proven successful experience in business development.
- Ability to manage throughout the organizational structure and delegate effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop and present comprehensive reports. Ability to have difficult conversations when warranted (internal and external).
- High level of confidence to build relationships with C-suite/owners/ decision maker.
- Industry legal and compliance knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills to assess trends, determine pipeline, gap analysis, etc.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
- Financially astute and able to create ROI.
- Capable of conducting independent market research.
- Ability to achieve deadlines and function well in a high-paced, competitive and stressful environment.
- Selected candidate will be required to sign a non-compete agreement.
- Successfully pass of a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
