We have multiple job openings for a Put Away Clerk/Receiving Clerk in our Andersonville, TN location. This position will be responsible for receiving product into the warehouse, as well as moving palletized product from receiving area to the correct warehouse location and rotating material. This position is for the day shift, Monday-Friday. Some required overtime as needed.
- Responsible for the unloading and checking in of freight.
- In addition to moving and rotating product, this position is responsible for maintaining product and unit information to ensure the correct products are being received and stocked.
- Learn and execute all aspects involved in replenishing inventory.
- Assists with unloading incoming freight and breaking down product as needed.
- Utilizes handheld electronic devices to accurately record quantities and locations.
- Follows procedures for checking merchandise, maintains knowledge of all computer and RF functions needed to perform receiving and put away duties.
- Maintains a clean, orderly work environment. Reports damages/disorderly areas to supervisor.
- Adheres to all customer requests according to established policies.
- Works proactively to foster and maintain a positive team oriented atmosphere at all times. Works together with fellow associates as a team to promote the goal and common good of the company.
- Operates all warehouse equipment efficiently in a safe manner to avoid injury to personnel and equipment. Reports any mechanical issues to supervisor upon discovery. Maintains equipment as assigned.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous warehouse/distribution experience and product knowledge is a plus.
- Must be accurate, have good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and positive attitude.
- Must be able to perform all physical motions typical of a stocker, including bending, reaching, stretching, standing or walking for long periods and for entire shift, often over 8 hrs/shift and lifting/carrying/pushing/moving as much as 70 pounds (or more) repeatedly throughout the shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Proficient with basic arithmetic calculations.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
