What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Assembly Technician position at Concorde Battery Corp - Georgia?

Concorde Battery Georgia Corporation is currently looking for a driven candidate to learn the final assembly department. Successful candidate will test and assemble batteries in the final stage before going to shipping. No previous experience needed, this position will receive hands on training from current staff. The final assembly technician has opportunity for growth.
Competencies:
- Reviewing assembly drawings
- Use a volt meter
- Operate testing equipment
- Enter test data into computer
- Inspect testing graphs
- Review test data
- Use small hand tools
- Solder circuit boards
- Look for cosmetic defects
- Filling batteries with electrolyte
- Dumping and washing batteries
- Standing for long periods of time
- Maneuvering up to 90 pounds
- Reaching, carrying, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling
- Wearing a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
- Comply with all safety requirements, participate in safety training/practices
- Maintain a clean work area and follow company hygiene guidelines
- Working with and around hazardous materials
- Work in a hot and cold environment
Education and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Read, write, and speak English
- Punctual and reliable
- Must complete pre-employment physical/drug screen
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 5:45am-2:15pm
- Overtime available dependent on customer demand
