Job Summary/Basic Function
Assist classroom head teacher in preschool programs with implementation of daily activities and child management principles.
- Work with Head Teacher to develop and execute curriculum themes and age-appropriate daily activities
- Child guidance/reinforcing positive behavior
- Assist staff with general caregiving routines
- Work closely with parents to promote their child’s development
- Maintain records of progress
- Maintain an appropriate classroom environment (sanitize toys, help with room set-up, cleanup, etc.)
- Assume other duties as requested by the classroom staff or director
- Keep up with training required by the state, NAEYC, and Parent Aware
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, CDA, or related field of study

- General knowledge of state licensing standards
