POSITION SUMMARY for the Occupational Therapist OT: The Occupational Therapist [OTR/L] is a registered and licensed qualified professional who directs, supervises, evaluates and provides occupational therapy services to patients in their home or current residence as prescribed by the attending physician. Excellent growth and advancement opportunities PREMIUM Clinical Ladder Pay Rates for FT/PT Occupational Therapist 403(b) Retirement Plan Flexible Schedule 1:1 patient care ratio The licensed Occupational Therapist OT responsibilities include: Making home visits to patients in the Ligonier Valley and surrounding service area Responsible for the initial occupational therapy evaluation and assessment of functional status, endurance, visual coordination, motor skills, environmental hazards or barriers to independent living Setting up and implementing the treatment plan, participating in multidisciplinary care in conjunction with the nursing team Reporting and recording care provided for both home health and hospice patients under the direction of the patient's physician Identifying equipment needs and environmental adaptations Educating patient, caregivers and family in rehabilitative care Supervising the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in implementing the plan of care Revising therapy plans as needed to enhance outcome for patients
