As the Executive Director, you will:
- Provide operational leadership and strategic direction to achieve the mission of Concordia Hospice of Washington.
- Develop and execute programs, organizational initiatives, and financial plans in collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff.
- Oversee administrative operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Foster meaningful relationships with community groups, healthcare organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance the hospice’s reputation and reach.
- Lead a diverse team by inspiring excellence, maintaining a positive workplace culture, and prioritizing staff development.
- Ensure financial sustainability through budget oversight and sound fiscal management.
- Lead long-term strategic planning to ensure timely progress toward organizational goals.
- Maintain high standards of quality in service delivery and continuous improvement through QAPI processes.
- Represent the hospice at community and industry events, advocating for its mission and services.
- Direct hiring, supervision, and evaluation of staff while fostering an inclusive and motivated workforce.
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with Concordia Hospice of Washington’s policies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nursing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Proven track record in business management and leadership roles; familiarity with the Medicare Hospice Benefit is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in various software such as electronic health records and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Personal Attributes: A compassionate and professional demeanor, reliability, and the ability to inspire confidence among staff, patients, and the community.
- Other Requirements: Reliable transportation, a valid PA driver’s license, and the state-required vehicle insurance.
