General Summary
The Director of Account Management sets growth and retention strategies for Concordia Plans’ ministry partners and serves as leader, development trainer and coach for the account management staff to obtain objectives.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborates with AVP, Ministry Solutions & Engagement to set departmental goals that achieve organizational goals.
- Collaborates with Account Managers in setting growth and retention strategies/plans for their assigned ministry partners and ensuring alignment across regions and customers.
- Provides thought partnership and strategic guidance to AVP Ministry Solutions & Engagement and Concordia Plans internal stakeholders specific to CRM optimization.
- Provides accountability to the team through strong coaching and mentoring.
- Interfaces with multiple internal departments to produce solutions to meet prospect needs.
- Participates with Marketing and Customer Service efforts to foster understanding of the value of CPS for all employers.
- Maintains strong working knowledge of CPS benefit plans, administrative policies and current legislation.
- Ensures successful transition of customer to an assigned account team member.
- Identifies opportunities & custom solutions.
- Builds strategies for account plans that solve ministry concerns and serve member populations.
- Delegates day-to-day support to, and provide guidance for, assigned account team members.
- Supports team training and development activities.
- Monitors trends/issues, consider strategic implications and collaborates with Product teams for new solutions.
- Takes an active role in the use and application of the customer relationship management (CRM).
- Travel requirement: Overnight domestic travel up to 60%; higher during peak business cycles required, (including weekends).
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or service-related discipline, preferred.
- 5 years of demonstrated strategic sales experience, to include B2B consultive sales and client facing annual reviews, preferred.
- Experience with employee benefits, healthcare, financial services or similar field, preferred.
- Sales training and development experience preferred
- Experience managing/working through RFP, desired as well as usage of a CRM (Salesforce).
- Professional benefits or sales designations / certifications, desirable.
