General Summary
The Financial Educator works with the Director of Worker Wellness and other Financial Educators to improve the financial well-being of church workers. The Financial Educator assists in the planning and execution of presentations for conferences, webinars, pre-retirement workshops, and dedicated employer visits. The Financial Educator spends time meeting one-on-one with members to assist with their financial planning and also collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide employee education as needed.

General Summary

Essential Job Functions
- Promotes financial life-cycle stewardship through seminars, presentations, webinars, and one-on-one relationships to encourage both financial stability and wellness among church workers and ministries.
- Provides plenary or breakout sessions during specific programs such as district educator and/or pastor conferences, and national leadership and educational conferences.
- Creates presentations, develops curriculum and instructs on financial wellness and personal financial management in large group, classroom, stakeholder meetings and one on one settings.
- Presents and facilitates pre-retirement workshops for church workers at all stages of ministry.
- Serves as an expert for church workers regarding the use of tools and resources for the purpose of financial planning.
- Manages member relationships through designing and executing on-going communication strategy including documentation within the team’s member tracking platform.
- Functions as a dedicated financial educator with specific large ministries to:
- Meet with staff as needed for virtual or live one-on-one personal financial planning.
- Present to staff as requested retirement planning presentations for all-staff meetings.
- Collaborates with other educators to create and take part in financial educational webinars for personal finance and pre-retirement education.
- Collaborates with other educators and internal partners to include Communication and Advocacy, Marketing, and Retirement Services to develop and utilize educational resources for personal finance and pre-retirement education and to partner for one-on-one member education.
- Ability and availability to travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related) or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in related fields.
- Experience in personal finance and retirement planning preferred.
- Experience in public speaking required.
- Experience in employee benefits, non-profit or faith-based organizations desirable.
- Knowledge in the application of health, pension, 403(b) plans, and Social Security and experience interpreting legal benefit plan documents preferred.
- Ability to plan, oversee and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Capable of selecting most effective communication strategies and tactics for assigned projects.
