What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator, Children in Worship Initiative position at CONCORDIA SEMINARY?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This person serves as the project coordinator for the Children in Worship Initiative, funded by a grant from the Lilly Foundation over the course of five years, from 20242029.
- Duties include communicating with churches, schools, and other institutions in order to schedule and organize the various workshops and institutes as outlined in the Grant Narrative.
- Duties include budget tracking and regular meetings with the Dean of Chapel and Kantor who serve as project leaders.
- This person serves with the Dean of Chapel and Kantor to serve as presenter at churches, schools, and other institutions as delineated in the Grant Narrative.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Competency in music, including keyboard and vocal pedagogy
- Training in educational methods; B.S. in Education preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in teaching children from preschool through Grade 8
- 5-10 years of experience in teaching elementary age childrens choirs
- Experience in teaching adults through workshops, conferences, other classes
SCHEDULE AND HOURS:
The project budget allows for 20 hours per workweek throughout the term of the project.
