Adjunct Faculty - Applied Exercise Science

Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty for the Department of Applied Exercise Science in the College of Health, Science & Technology. Part-time teaching opportunities are available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. Applicants with expertise that matches the course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview.

Current opportunities include teaching the following courses for the beginning of Fall 2025:

• Teach various courses in the Applied Exercise Science MS Program, primarily teaching in the strength and conditioning concentration.
  • AES 6815: Principles of Strength & Conditioning I
  • AES 6825: Principles of Strength & Conditioning II
  • AES 6830: Applied Advanced Strength and Conditioning

Minimum Requirements:

• Required:
  • MS in Exercise Science or related field
  • Be in good standing with the NSCA with a. current CSCS certification
• Preferred:
  • PhD or EdD in Exercise Science or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience
  • Previous strength and conditioning coaching experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to handle all situations in a pleasant and professional manner

• Candidates must support and be committed to the mission and identity of Concordia University Chicago, a University of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS).
