Concordia University is needing a Volunteer Coach for Tennis who wants to be a part of this mission. The main campus (and this role) is located in Seward, Nebraska. Position Purpose: This volunteer assistant coach position assists the Head Coach with all phases of operating the program.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Participates and helps lead practices and perform assigned coaching duties.
- Assist with overseeing and instructing student-athletes.
- Aid in event preparation, including event set-up.
- Other duties assigned by the head coach.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory or bachelor's degree in field relevant to position.
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years' experience within a college, high school, and/or high level tennis program
Certifications: Valid driver's license
Specialized knowledge
- Knowledge, understanding, and apply the University/Athletic Dept. Mission, Vision, and Core Values to daily living.
- Knowledge, understanding, and apply all aspects of the respective athletic program
- Willingness to learn and fully comply with NAIA regulations and guidelines governing respective athletic programs, recruitment, and retention of student-athletes
Proficiencies
- Proficient in the respective athletic program desired
Special position requirements
- Ability to lead and guide NAIA student-athletes in an area of specialty
- Ability to manage daily responsibilities and possess quality organization skills.
- Ability to drive 12-passenger van.
- Ability to travel, rent vehicles, drive in large citifies, and fly in commercial aircrafts.
