Position Summary
This part-time position (average 15 hours per week for 52 weeks) manages tasks primarily for the graduate teacher certification programs, with additional support provided to Concordia University Ann Arbor's online bachelor's licensure programs. Approximately 75% of responsibilities support graduate programs and 25% support online undergraduate programs. This flexible remote position reports directly to the Assistant Dean of the School of Education and collaborates closely with the Director of the Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction (MSCI) with Elementary and Secondary Teacher Certification, and the Post-Traditional Initial Licensure Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for student success through timely email responses, program promotion, clinical experience support, and student check-ins.
- Complete program management tasks, including verifying student enrollment, updating course projection documents, and tracking student progress.
- Manage Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) data, including results tracking, test scheduling, and remediation support for all licensure students.
- Organize all clinical experience data, including logging hours, establishing data management systems, and managing candidate placement and mentor information in collaboration with the Post-Traditional Initial Licensure Coordinator.
- Collaborate with the MSCI Director, Post-Traditional Initial Licensure Coordinator, and Assistant Dean on the full implementation and rollout of Insights by eLumen for assessment data tracking (Program Learning Outcomes and University Learning Outcomes).
- Assist program leadership as needed, including creating newsletters, facilitating data collection for assessment and accreditation purposes, and participating in recruitment initiatives.
- Participate in regular standing meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to manage interruptions and thrive in a fast-paced remote office environment.
- Skilled in the use of computers and software common to the academic environment, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google products.
- Familiarity with learning management systems, especially Canvas.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commitment to remote advising, virtual student support, and familiarity with online learning environments.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with or exposure to the teaching profession and/or teacher licensure is preferred.
- Background in K-12 education preferred.
- Experience with remote work environments, online education, and virtual advising/support preferred.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position. Starting wage may be determined upon education and/or experience.
