Position Summary
The Support Services Coordinator reports to the Director of Academic Resource Center & Accessibility Services and is housed within the Academic Resource Center. The Support Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operations of the testing center, including DSST/CLEP testing, deploying assistive technology for student use, and assisting in supporting students through ARC and accessibility resources.
This position is a 12-month position that requires a normal eight-hour workday; however, as a salaried position; the Support Services Coordinator may need to work extended hours to meet the demands of the job. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Testing Center:
- Manage all aspects of the Testing Center including scheduling and proctoring exams for students requiring specific academic accommodations
- Train, hire, and supervise proctors for exams
- Coordinate Testing Center space usage for other departments
- Be prepared to answer faculty and student questions regarding testing policies and procedures
- Follow defined procedures for test storage tests and classroom make-up test distribution to instructors and departments
- Work closely with faculty and students to prove testing that maintains both the students testing accommodations and the academic integrity of the test of online formats
- Utilize surveillance equipment and conduct walk-through monitoring to assure student compliance with test policies and prevent testing irregularities
- Oversee CLEP and DSST testing
- Collect and maintain usage statistics and testing records
Assistive Technology:
- Manage alternative format textbook requests
- Manage assistive technology for the department
- Coordinate with IT department on necessitated technology needs, including recommendations for installation and maintenance of computer software, equipment, and supplies, in addition to maintaining all updates from external partners
ARC & Accessibility Support:
- Assist record keeping through EAB
- Maintain knowledge of Accessible Information Management (AIM) system to manage testing accommodations
- Work with the ARC Director and Assistant Director to provide academic support sessions about assistive technology accessibility services, and success strategies
- Provide support for accessibility services on basic accommodations, as needed
- Assist in tutoring training content and delivery methods
- Promote the use of services to students and the campus in a variety of ways: coordinating classroom visits, creating brochures, crafting outreach emails, designing posters, and hosting informational tables and events
- Design and manage promotional materials
- Maintain the CUW Academic Resource Center webpage and social media with information, resources, and links to support student success
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in the area of Education, or related field
- Teaching/training experience preferred
- Managerial experience preferred
