ROLE :
The full-time, 12-month, non-exempt Clinical Supervisor & Therapist for Counseling Services position is responsible for supervision of Counseling Services associates and interns. This position assists in promoting the development and maintenance of psychological counseling services which contribute to the academic success of our campus student community. This role will also assist with the administrative functions of the counseling services offered to Concordia students, including maintenance and development of wellness resources, training, and support of counseling staff. This position is 20% direct client care, 30% direct supervision (individual, triadic & group) and 50% administrative / general.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the below essential duties satisfactorily :
Clinical Duties
- Provides direct counseling service hours to Concordia University Irvine students, using individual and group modalities
- Responds to mental health crisis by taking on urgent and walk-in clients
- Makes appropriate counseling referrals to on- and off-campus resources
- Case management of students referred through a variety of programs, such as Helping Hands and ACC
- Administer SASSI and ASSIST for Mandated Substance Use Disorder referrals.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Master's degree in counseling or related field; one to two years of supervisory experience; experience in a college / university counseling center, preferred.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION :
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
