What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist - Baden position at Concordia Visiting Nurses?
Concordia Visiting Nurses is a Medicare-certified, state licensed, Medicaid approved home health agency operating in nine Western Pennsylvania counties. For well over a decade, Concordia Visiting Nurses has provided high-quality skilled nursing, palliative care, and a variety of therapy services to our patients. POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist performs in-house staff support and maintains quality service as well as positive interaction with clients, families, staff and referral sources.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Post-secondary education in business or secretarial field preferred.
B. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
C. Outstanding communication skills to the extent that a positive and professional image is conveyed to clients, families, referral sources, staff and general callers.
D. Ability to maintain professionalism under deadlines.
E. Particular orientation or experience working with older adults and their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Handles all phones calls, mail or general inquiries and messages for staff, clients, and referral sources in a positive, courteous, pleasant, and professional manner.
B. Order, stock, track and organize medical and office supplies.
C. Coordinates and tracks, records storage and PT/INR Monitors
D. Maintains orderly storage and recording of patient charts for storage
E. Creates start of care packets, completes all filing timely, conducts concierge calls to patients
F. Submits repair requests to the Maintenance Department and copier company when repairs are needed for copiers and fax machines.
G. Distributes and tracks monthly birthday cards
H. Coordinates with field staff special supply orders such as PT/INR Monitors
I. Creates letters, envelopes, and labels using word processing software for general purposes and mass mailings.
J. Maintains a professional standard of conduct, projecting a positive image of the home care service line at all times.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT POSITION
Sitting
Ability to sit for 90% of work day.
Reaching/Turning/Twisting
May be required when putting supplies away lift and carry 15-35 (fifteen to twenty-five) lbs.
Repetitive Motion
Hands: Required use of a computer keyboard and open and close drawers for filing.
