WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Project Manager directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of projects within the assigned area of responsibility. This ensures that project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Effectively define project scope and strategy in conjunction with end users.
- Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases.
- Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of the project and assign project tasks. Confer with project staff to outline the work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budgets.
- Develop and maintain a schedule and budget for assigned projects, manage contractors, consultants, and vendor resources.
- Obtain cost estimates and coordinate the preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Prepare project reports for management. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Coordinate project activities with regulatory or other governmental agencies.
- Responsible for the write-up and review of all CER documents for approval, manage all SAP functions, including PRs, POs, service receipts, and all AP issues.
- Responsible for the overall review and release of the project to the plant, including but not limited to the areas of safety, environmental, quality, and functionality.
- Provide technical and supervisory assistance in plant maintenance department emergencies, shutdown planning, and maintenance strategies.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in the cement industry.
- Knowledge of processes in the cement industry.
- Experience with expansion projects and sustaining in the cement industry.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Suite).

Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
