Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to join the team at our Indianapolis, IN facility. This person will be part of the management team and will directly supervise the assigned team and support the daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a precast concrete production facility and be knowledgeable with concrete production and timelines. Previous experience within the precast concrete industry is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following are included; other duties may be assigned.
- Review and resolve production issues.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis.
- Implement production improvements.
- Lead daily safety and goal meetings.
- Investigate safety and disciplinary actions.
- Participate in hiring and training.
- Coordinate material deliveries.
- Hold weekly safety and quality meetings.
- Identify cost-saving measures.
- Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with PCI quality standards.
- Collaborate with management to meet project schedules.
- Maintain a hands-on presence in production areas.
Skills And Qualifications
- B.S.E. in Industrial Engineering or 7 years of leadership experience.
- ACI Level 1, PCI Level 1 and 2 certifications required; PCI Level 3 a plus.
- Manage multiple departments with 100 employees.
- Ability to create and manage operational budgets.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Understanding of general manufacturing and engineering principles.
- Proficient in EXCEL, Microsoft, general IT knowledge.
- Works well with teams.
