Civil Heavy Construction Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and contractors. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in helping us build high-quality structures while maintaining cost control and efficiency.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create precise estimates and manage project costs effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and develop comprehensive budgets.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on construction site conditions and validate project scope.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Monitor ongoing project costs and provide updates to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Assist in the development of cost control measures to enhance profitability on projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to provide accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data related to construction costs.
• Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contract management.
• Knowledge of cost control techniques and best practices in the construction industry.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Pay: $82,069.00 - $89,788.00 per year
