What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charlotte Sales Representative position at Concrete & Materials Placement, LLC?
Our growing business is in search of hard-charging high energy Outside Sales Representative to increase sales in our Charlotte territory. Reporting to COO, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads and closing orders for concrete pumping. The Outside Sales Representative will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging opportunities and develop plans to utilize those opportunities to increase sales revenue. Beware, this is a FAST-PACED business where we work with a perishable product (concrete)!
- Target commercial and residential contractors to determine existing and future requirements for concrete pumping and provide a quote for the requirement.
- For larger requirements, answer requests for proposals (RFP) and follow RFP submittal process requirements and provide an accurate quote or competitive proposal developed specifically for the job.
- Follow-up communication on each quote/proposal in a systematic approach to secure the order from the customer.
- Provide the credit department the necessary information on a new client credit application so that the potential customer can be properly checked for credit requirements.
- Measure job sites and understand safety requirements if necessary.
- Support Pump Operators and work closely with dispatch operations.
- Spend 60-75% of your time in the field visiting customers, job sites, and other target opportunities.
- Generate sales reports each week and submit them to management
- Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
- Attend project meetings or pre-pour meetings to plan for pumping success.
- Work closely with Head of Sales and Raleigh Area Manager, as appropriate, to review weekly sales activities and prospective customer calling activities.
- Work with sales coordinator to update client information and pricing in the company database
- **Minimum Qualifications: **
- 4 years of outside sales experience
- Available to receive and make calls on a moment’s notice around the clock.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software.
- Strong Team Player - self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal direction.
- Excellent interpersonal and superior communication skills
- Good driving record.
- **Preferred Qualifications: **
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of the construction industry, concrete pumping, and Ready-Mix Concrete.

- Microsoft Office
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
