Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch Operations:
- Coordinate and schedule the delivery of concrete products to customers.
- Monitor and adjust delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Communicate with drivers to confirm pick-up and delivery times and provide necessary delivery instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch operations, including delivery logs, driver assignments, and fleet activity.
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules, issues, and inquiries.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively resolving delivery problems, delays, or concerns.
- Provide accurate, timely updates to customers regarding delivery status.
- Fleet Management:
- Ensure all delivery vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule regular vehicle inspections and repairs.
- Monitor fuel levels, routes, and vehicle conditions to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Logistics & Route Optimization:
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and minimize delays.
- Analyze traffic, weather, and road conditions to adjust delivery plans as needed.
- Track and analyze delivery performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Team Leadership & Training:
- Supervise and manage dispatch staff, ensuring smooth operations throughout the day.
- Provide training and development to dispatch team members to ensure high levels of performance and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements regarding transportation and deliveries.
- Ensure that drivers adhere to all safety protocols, including vehicle inspections, load checks, and safe driving practices.
- Maintain and update dispatching processes to comply with changing regulations and industry standards.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on dispatch activities, including delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and fleet status.
- Analyze dispatch operations and recommend improvements for increased efficiency and customer service.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics management role, preferably in the construction or concrete industry.
- Strong understanding of transportation and delivery operations, including scheduling, routing, and fleet management.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software (knowledge of concrete-specific software is a plus).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards for the transportation of concrete materials.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or in an office setting.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Occasional travel to job sites and production facilities may be required.
