SUMMARY
Concrete Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Service Supervisor that will assist the Operations Manager with managing a service crew of 2-3 members and the day-to-day operations of the service shop. The service crew is responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse line of Heavy Highway and Commercial concrete construction equipment and motor vehicles. This supervisor will provide outstanding leadership and quality training, possess excellent communication skills, and always represent the company in a friendly and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate work daily with the Service Operations Manager, Commercial and Heavy Highway Operations Managers, field Supervisors, vendors, and other personnel as needed.
- Plan, communicate, organize, and direct assigned team members in all aspects of shop work.
- Support shop operations to ensure crew is operating safely, efficiently and effectively, and with outstanding quality, while maintaining the shop to CTI cleanliness standards.
- Inspect, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on equipment, including, but not limited to pavers, trimmers, laser screeds, backhoes, skid loaders, excavators, front-end loaders, rollers, blades, concrete saws, crushers, tractor trailers, dump trucks, and other small equipment and tools in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Process respective administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Respond to all field equipment issues and concerns at various job sites.
- Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and using excellent safety practices while visiting job sites, per CTI policies and OSHA, Federal, and State laws and regulations.
- Work with team, clients/owners, and inspectors in a professional and friendly manner and relay a positive attitude toward coworkers, vendors, and clients.
- Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, and streamline work processes. Be proactive with maintenance and repairs. Troubleshoot and minimize downtime.
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of diesel mechanic repairs experience with 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years technical school or higher education preferred.
- Valid Class A CDL or be willing and able to obtain.
- Insurable Motor Vehicle Record.
- Pass a post conditional offer of employment DOT physical.
- Able to diagnose, repair, and adjust hydraulic components on heavy equipment.
- Possess welding and electrical knowledge associated with heavy equipment.
- Able to maintain a high level of work quality.
- Proven leadership skills among crews.
- Excellent time management skills. Work well under time constraints and respond positively to change.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Professional, friendly, possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.
