Description : Purpose of Role
As a EHS Supervisor you will oversee the environmental, safety and health programs, coordinate safety training programs, support equipment pre-start up safety reviews, MOC approval, process / work instruction evaluations, and conduct site visits as needed to monitor compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations. The successful candidate will also oversee the implementation and adherence to the EHS program for the organization. The EHS Supervisor will work collaboratively with the operations team to create processes and training to improve the overall health and safety of the organization in support of continued success of the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
- Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs for compliance with company and government regulations.
- Manages the use, disposal, and collection of hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Oversees air and water quality.
- Maintains records of hazardous waste exposure and discharge.
- Collaborate with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
- Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Inspect equipment and buildings to ensure they meet industry safety standards.
- Develop new or enhanced safety procedures to reduce or eliminate safety risks.
- Conduct new employee orientation and other safety related training for employees.
- Routinely evaluate the company’s environmental, safety and health performance through audits, assessments, and benchmarking.
- Support and facilitate employee engagement to drive safety excellence.
- Provide oversight and direction for First Aid and employee wellness activities.
- Oversite of activities both on site and at secondary manufacturing facility.
- Support of capital projects and any facility wide construction
