This role will utilize both creative and technical skills to complete early and finishing stages of digital video edits across a range of formats, concepts, and brands. From pulling selects to finalizing and delivering projects, this role will be crucial to the efficiency and ultimate success of Condé Nast’s digital content. The Junior Video Editor reports to the Supervising Editor and works closely with Editors, Assistant Editors, Senior Editors, and Post Production Supervisors.Primary Responsibilities : Assist editors and post production team as neededCreate assemblies based on paper cuts, perform cut-downs, and pull selectsExecute rounds of notes for editors as neededAssist with the video finishing process; prep sequences for color correction and audio mixing, execute and upload deliverables, handle QC revisionsDeliver audio and video cue sheets per episodeEnsure projects are prepped for archivingEdit light-lift, simple video concepts or other video projectsDesired Skills and Qualifications : 1-3 years of editing or assistant editing experience in a post-production facilityExperience with Adobe Creative Suite requiredComprehensive understanding of media codecs, aspect ratios, bit rates, compression, and finishing processes (color / mix prep / conform, QC, delivery)Familiarity with post-production processes, workflows, and best practicesAbility to multitask in a busy environment, stay organized, and hit deadlinesProactive self-starter with interest in developing / honing edit skills and growing at Condé NastMust be a strong communicator, team player, and flexible with changing asks or prioritiesWhat happens next?If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply below, and we will review your application as soon as possible.
