The Role
Bon Appétit and Epicurious are seeking an experienced Senior Editor to lead our new digital and social media venture in the UK. To succeed in this role, you must be a self-starter who is passionate about exploring the world through what we eat and can deliver high-impact storytelling on web and video platforms.
The Senior Editor UK will be primarily responsible for writing and editing coverage of food culture and lifestyle topics, including restaurants, drinks, travel, health and wellness, and foodways content in and around the UK. This editor will also contribute to UK editions of Bon Appetit’s Best New Restaurants and Best New Bars lists and will work in close collaboration with the US Editorial Team.
What will you be doing?
- Conceive, pitch, assign, track, and edit food culture topics for all UK platforms and distribution channels.
- Manage City Guides in the UK.
- Proactively seek out interesting voices to write about food culture relevant to the UK.
- Manage all projects from concept to execution, partnering with photo / art teams on visuals and design.
- Assign and edit original content as well as adapt existing content for various Bon Appetit products.
- Meet individual and / or section KPIs as assigned.
- Partner with audience development and analytics to improve content strategy and output.
- Contribute to brand extensions, social platforms, and additional projects as needed.
- Identify and work collaboratively with global markets on relevant stories.
- Represent the brand in a public-facing way as necessary.
