Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Monitor and assess the performance of solar energy systems and substations to ensure optimal operation.
- Utilize SCADA systems to analyze data and report on system performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participate in safety training and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance activities for management.
- Complies with all company policies.
- All other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate.
