Conductor Power is seeking an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate engineering efforts for solar energy projects. As the Subject Matter Expert in civil and structural engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of solar systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with the estimating team to create cost-effective, constructible preliminary designs, aiding in the development of project estimates. While your expertise will focus on civil and structural engineering, you will also coordinate with all other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Product design experience from concept to completion and oversight responsibilities in developing and executing validation test plans is required.
- Demonstrated technical project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams toward identified goals.
- Deep understanding of grading design, hydrology, structural steel, solar racking design, and related engineering principles.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, standards, and industry best practices in the renewable energy sector.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and other project management tools/software.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
- Proven experience (at least 7 years) in engineering management, with a focus on renewable energy.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools, such as ISO standards, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred but not required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred but not required.
- AutoCAD experience is preferred, but not required
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of solar energy projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to team members on civil and structural engineering items
- Participate in engineering kick-off, design coordination and design review meetings with Owners, Project Management Team and EORs.
- Complete preliminary solar energy system designs to support the estimating efforts focused on grading design and pile design. Review owner provided documentation to ensure preliminary design follows owner provided requirements.
- Apply deep knowledge of solar energy systems, photovoltaic technology, and related engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive innovation in solar energy technology, exploring new materials, techniques, and design approaches to enhance system performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of solar energy solutions into overall business operations.
- Stays up to date on relevant regulations, standards and industry best practices related to renewable energy and ensures compliance in all engineering activities.
- Identifies potential risks and mitigation strategies associated with renewable energy projects, proactively addressing technical, environmental, and safety concerns.
- Provide leadership and other project stakeholders with appropriate, timely, and accurate updates of project status and plans—including monthly reports, records, and resource requirements.
- Maintain project management database with relevant and accurate documentation, information, and data.
- Provide leadership to the staff—including assigning objectives and projects, evaluating performance, and providing positive and constructive feedback.
Salary : $120,000 - $170,000
