The Role
- Answer inbound calls regarding child support receipts and disbursements
- Handle standards in a fast-paced, large call volume environment
- Utilize multiple computerized systems, multi-tasking, and document each call
- Respond to Michigan child support inquiries, and complaints, using a standard script and procedures
- Gather information, and research/resolve inquiries
- Inform callers about services available and assess caller's needs
- Provide peer-to-peer training for incoming training classes that transition to the call center floor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent level of education
- Pass a background check and fingerprinting
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
- 1-2 years experience in a call center environment
- 2 years experience in payments, and data entry
- Type a minimum of 30 WPM (words per minute) on a computer
- Licit authorization to work permanently in the United States
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong work ethic
