About the Role:
As an RN-Nurse First Response (NFR), you will be responsible for providing telephonic assessments to injured workers and recommending the appropriate route for treatment based on specific protocols. You will determine a plan of care for self-care or referral for a medical evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting telephonic assessments to determine appropriate protocols.
- Evaluating, assessing, and implementing to determine the level of care required.
- Verifying injured workers' understanding of their injury and agreement with the treatment plan.
- Documenting encounters into Conduent's proprietary software system.
- Providing follow-up and outcome information to injured workers, employers, and providers when necessary.
- Supplying injured workers with self-care instructions and contact information if necessary to call back NFR nurse.
- Escalating follow-up calls if the severity of illness or injury worsens.
- Contributing to overall team performance.
- Performing basic nursing processes (assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate) under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Requirements:
- Possess excellent oral communication and telephone skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand state laws.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.
- Strong organization skills and time management.
- Maintain current nursing license and any professional designations required.
- Excellent keyboard and PC automation skills.
- Prefer clinical experience with Emergency Dept, orthopedic, neurological, rehabilitation, medical/surgical, occupational health, or other telephonic triage related services.
- Must be licensed as an RN in both CA and in a compact state (REQUIRED). If not licensed in CA, ability to obtain immediately after hire.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care or ER.
- Workers Compensation experience is preferred.
- Amenable to working in a BPO industry as a healthcare associate (data and voice processes)

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive, and Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000
