Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gas and/or diesel engines and related systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, which includes heavy machinery and vehicles. The Mechanic will work with various equipment types, including Caterpillar machinery and commercial trucks.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in diesel engines and related components.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of gas or diesel-powered equipment, including air brake systems and hydraulic lifts.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
- Familiarity with construction machinery is preferred
- Experience with electrical systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license
