A well-established electromechanical service company is seeking a Winder to join our team. This position involves rewinding various types of electromechanical equipment, including disassembling, inspecting, and repairing components to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Rewind AC and DC electric motors, including fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles.
- Dismantle and strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
- Inspect components for electrical malfunctions and document findings.
- Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and check for hidden structural damage.
- Strip stators and apparatus without causing core or iron damage.
- Perform voltage testing according to EASA Standards and record results.
- Operate machinery, hoists, and vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) systems.
- Follow safety procedures and company standards while maintaining a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend moderately complex instructions.
- Proficiency in basic math, including fractions.
- Understanding of operational and safety procedures.
- Strong initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
