Description
Objective:
To provide relief to Team Cone management, to effectively run sales routes in relief of managers when routes are vacant due to call outs, vacations, or route openings, in all channels of trade. To assist in set relief when routes are staffed. To assist in the proper sales, merchandising, and delivery of all products sold by Team Cone and assist in the correct marketing of those products at the retail level:

To adhere to quality assurance policies.
Responsibilities/Expectations
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to arrive at work between the hours of 5 to 6:45 AM depending on the route or schedule and work until the entire route is serviced or job completed.
- Willingness to work with a flexible schedule with flexible hours.
- Participate in weekend pull-up activities as scheduled; find a replacement if you cannot attend your assigned day
- Ability to lift 25-30lbs. packaged beer and 160lb. kegs
- Some knowledge of the brewing industry
- Good organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Effective communication skills for both internal and external communication. Must be able to communicate with store personnel as well as Team Cone delivery and sales personnel and members of Team Cone management.
- Work alongside and communicate daily with delivery drivers and or merchandisers.
- Must have the aptitude to work within a team environment
- Must be able to interact and multiple channels of trade, large and small format, on and off premise.
- The ability to use Smart Phones, I pads, or other similar electronic devices in the performance of job duties.
- The ability to learn and work in route accounting software (Encompass).Need to know how to generate an order and trade out in Encompass.
- Must be able to generate a hotshot order in Encompass in compliance with Cone Distributing’s off day delivery policy.
- Need to be able to know how to properly complete a delivery using RAS (Encompass).
- Must have the capability of accurately counting and entering in store inventories and the aptitude to interpret inventory numbers to produce an accurate sales forecast.
- Must be able to understand and sell the entire portfolio
- Complete and accurately fill out all assigned surveys and transmit thru Encompass. Ad surveys due by close of business on Friday.
- Properly stock coolers, back stock, shelves & refill displays to capacity as needed
- Build and maintain product displays as directed. Restock all warm & cold beer selling areas. Merchandise with corr-buff, signs & appropriate point of sale if account allows it. Maintain account back stock in orderly condition.
- Must be able to understand and maintain Cone Distributing Retail Call and merchandising standards
- Some basic knowledge of Team Cone’s on premise standards (10 Second Look).
- Must possess a working understanding of the Quality Assurance Policy. - Both out of code and swap policy.
- Code date systems must be thoroughly understood and strictly followed
- Maintain proper rotation standards on an ongoing basis when running relief routes.
- Working knowledge of Red Bull selling standards to ensure execution against volume, distribution and merchandising standards.
- Timely follow up provided to ASMs or Sales Mangers on any issues encountered when running relief.
- Attend all cross -training events as scheduled.
- Maintain appropriate dress (uniform) and personal appearance standards (dress policy).
- Maintain assigned equipment (breakdowns, hand trucks, phone etc.) and vehicle. Report vehicle issues to the mechanic on duty immediately.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
- Assist with other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary, such as hot shots, set work, deliveries, the hanging of POS window film, cooler wraps, etc.
- Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of malt beverages
- Attend all group and monthly sales meetings as scheduled
- Follow safety rules and use safety equipment daily.
- Good math skills.
- Frequent reaching, standing and walking
- Class A CDL & current DOT Physical Card.
- Able to pass drug and background check
- Beer 101 graduate
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years route running experience
- Will consider experience in the field Education
