Core Responsibilities

  • At Con Edison we all need to take special interest in our customers, both within the company and externally.
  • Ensure commitment to the ideals of developing a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among customers and improve value for all our stakeholders.
  • Responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, environmentally compliant, efficient and economical generation of electricity and/or steam by tracking and analyzing generating station operational data and staying abreast with environmental regulations that would impact of the Steam business.
  • Support Rate Case filings, including preparation of supporting materials and testimony.
  • Assist with updating the Company's Steam Long Range Plan
  • Assist with various technical and financial studies analyzing energy topics both internal and external to the Company
  • Assist with environmental analyses pertaining to the steam system
  • Ability to understand environmental regulations that have the potential to impact steam production assets, steam customers, and NYC
  • Prepare and maintain data files for the Steam Operations Monthly Reports.
  • Assist with maintaining data files/reports for Steam Ops KPIs and Steam Services internal metrics
  • Prepare materials for the Vice President and senior management.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work in a professional manner with various company departments and outside agencies.
  • Proficiencies in computer applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must have the ability to cross reference reports for discrepancies and resolution.
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams across various departments

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Associate - Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Business Administration and Full-time or internship experience
  • will count towards the one-year
  • minimum of work experience
  • requirement; Candidates that
  • have participated in the
  • company's full-time college
  • cooperative or summer
  • cooperative internships for a
  • minimum of six months meet the
  • EP experience requirements.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Must have good communication skills and ability to work in a professional manner with various company departments and outside agencies. Required
  • Proficient in computer applications MS Word, Excel, Power Point. Required
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams across various departments Required
  • Strong analytical skills Preferred
  • Knowledge of basic financial concepts Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

  • Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift

Other Physical Demands

  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
