Phlebotomy Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Phlebotomy and all techniques and be able to engage and inspire students. This role is pivotal in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals through effective teaching and supervision.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive instruction in the art of phlebotomy for aspiring phlebotomists.
• Cultivate a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for students during lectures and all clinical drawing portions.
• Encourage and support students throughout the program to ensure successful completion.
• Deliver our insightful curriculum in a clear and easily understandable manner.
• Manage onsite inventory and classroom cleanliness.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including classroom documentation (If applicable).
• Productive attendance and timeliness to all scheduled classes.

State Requirements:

• Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician in the state of California, with a minimum of 3 years of full-time phlebotomy experience in the last 5 years (including venipunctures, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement) in a CLIA laboratory or a clinical facility supervised by a medical doctor; a copy of the phlebotomy certificate will be required upon request
• OR a phlebotomist with 3 years of experience in the previous 5 years and employed as a phlebotomy instructor

Documents Needed:

• Current CPT 1 License
• High School Completion
• Current resume

Schedule:
PM Classes: Tuesdays 6-9 pm
