Position Summary :
The Float Team Supervisor / Educator will maintain charge of the Float Team in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Possesses qualifications and experience to care for pediatric, adolescents, adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for evaluating staff and scheduling of Float staff for the nursing units.Responsible for assisting in the implementation and development of department policies. Responsible for completion of assigned operational / departmental functions. Promptly and fully investigates and responds to complaints. Promotes sound clinical judgment, moral advocacy, responds to diversity, and care that creates a compassionate and therapeutic environment. Participates with health care team in continuous performance improvement. The nurse, in conjunction with the Nurse Manager, participates in performance excellence initiatives that are focused on improving patient care and outcomes. Oversees clinical orientation program of new employees.Assures competencies of staff members providing care to patients from pediatric through geriatrics.Initiates and participates in activities to promote optimal patient outcomes and compliance to regulatory standards.Coordinates and provides continuing education on new procedures, equipment, medications and all areas of assessed need.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. 5 years Acute Care Medical-Surgical experience. Current RN licensure.
