Position Summary:
Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. The administrative duties include greeting patients as they arrive in a professional manner, computerized patient registration with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system; scanning current patient information and updating demographic information, scheduling appointments, assist patients by answering the phones, tasking phone message/requests to the appropriate staff, filing and cross train to cover other staff positions. The clinical tasks include patient intakes, discharge instructions, nurse line, assist physicians as needed and work the clinical task list and return patient calls. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced office while adapting to the ever-changing needs of the work environment

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Appropriate on the job training as a medical office assistant or graduate of an approved Medical Office Assistant Program. Experience in an office/outpatient clinic setting or a new graduate from an MOA. Program and proficiency with medical terminology.
Preferred: Graduate of an approved Medical Office Assistant Program. One to two years’ experience in an office/outpatient clinic setting with knowledge of electronic medical records. Certification of a MOA or MOT; CPR certification
