Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care.  Care will correspond to patients’ unique medical needs and will be appropriate to the patients age—newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric.  In accord with Department and institutional polices/procedure and with the rules/regulations enacted by the State Board of Pharmacy, they will support the Department’s logistic, clinical, technical and clerical functions.

Minimum Qualifications:  High school graduate or equivalent.  PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification within 1 year of hire or actively pursuing certification (as determined by pharmacy management—not to exceed an additional 6 months) or Licensed Practical Nurse.
