Position Summary:
Performs a variety of clerical activities to assist in department operations. Greets patients as they arrive in the department. Enters exams into computer. Responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic and insurance information during the registration process. Registration Specialists will minimize the financial risk of providing services by assessing the patient’s financial status, verifying all account information, obtaining signatures on all required hospital and regulatory forms and obtaining applicable patient payments prior o services being provided. Registration Specialist will schedule future appointments in all area’s of the Imaging Department. Responsible for maintaining all Imaging Work queues both billing and patient scheduling. Excellent customer service skills utilized in all dealing with patients, physician offices and third party payers. These functions performed in accordance with the facility’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

High school diploma- One year reception experience in a office setting.
