What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Beavertown position at Conestoga Wood Specialties?
Reporting to our Corporate Project Engineering Manager, this position manages various types of projects to support manufacturing Operations. The Project Manager will work closely with the site Operations team on a daily basis. They will oversee projects such as facility infrastructure, process improvement initiatives and capital equipment procurement and implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide project leadership for projects across all sites, with a focus on Beavertown, and ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Adhere to management guidelines for conducting projects as defined in project management work instructions.
- Work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure quality service and materials for company project activities.
- Write Data Gathering Experiments (DGE’s).
- Participate in and support other initiatives as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma required. Technical degree desired.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment desired.
- Capable of working independently without close supervision.
- Professional communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for scheduling/assigning project tasks.
