We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Design Engineer for our Structural Steel and Misc Metals Division with at least 5-years’ experience.
Key Responsibilities/Requirements:
· Strong knowledge of AISC, IBC, and OSHA standards
· Design:
Experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metal design.
Design structural steel and miscellaneous metal components with efficiency and constructability in mind.
Collaborate with the design team to value engineer projects and identify potential improvements.
Support detailing staff by selecting optimal connection types for fabrication and erection.
Ensure the most efficient and cost-effective design solutions.
· Coordinate with other trades to resolve design conflicts and improve constructability.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on value engineering.
