Conexess Group is aiding an Arlington, VA based Cybersecurity company in their search for a Lead IT Engineer. This is a hybrid role with a competitive compensation package. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving IT problems / questions and helping people resolve their technical issues.
This is a hybrid position requiring a candidate local Arlington, VA
days on site varying on a weekly basis
Responsibilities :
Onboard new employees by creating relevant user accounts, setting up hardware, and IT training
Onboard employees by making sure all accounts are disabled and hardware is retrieve
Provide in-person and remote IT support to all employees and maintain the status of support tickets
Troubleshoot common problems with Windows and Mac laptops and software
Manage the complete lifecycle of user laptops and other hardware including purchasing imaging, shipping, wiping, and retiring
Ensure all technology in the conference rooms is in good working condition
Administer various IT systems including Apple Business Manager, JAMF Pro, Intune / MEP, LastPass, Slack, Google Workspace, and Office
Take on various other IT projects and initiatives
Participate in the on-call rotation to provide support outside of normal business hours
Requirements :
years of IT support experience in an office with employees
Experience setting up Mac and Windows laptops using JAMF, Intune, and JumpCloud
Experience with Google Workspace preferred
Excellent understanding of concepts such as LAN, WAN, Wireless, DNS, DHCP, IPs, routing and switching, firewall
Expertise in Mac and Windows laptops and operating systems
Expertise in general software such as Microsoft Office, GSuite / Google Workspace, Slack, Chrome, and more
Excellent understanding of general hardware such as monitors, various cable interfaces, printers, conference room A / V, office WiFi, and more
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Ability to provide prompt, friendly, and supportive help to t employees
Clear, effective oral and written communication
The ability to act independently and lead a small team of IT professionals
